Your documents translated in Verviers
by a specialist in your field
Contracts, maintenance manuals, regulatory files, online shops, loss adjustment reports: every text goes to the linguist who practises the subject, writes towards their mother tongue, then passes under a second pair of eyes. Your terminology stops drifting from one project to the next.

The sectors that keep us busy across the district
A generalist delivers words, a specialist delivers an intention. Every file goes to whoever knows the subject.
Industry and engineering
Operating manuals, maintenance schedules, safety data sheets, technical specifications. The workshops of the Vesdre valley, the suppliers of the Herve plateau and the sites built around water, from the Gileppe and Eupen dams to the bottling lines in Spa, produce these all year.
Food industry and distribution
Specifications, labelling, technical sheets, health certificates, distribution agreements. The Herve plateau sells its cheese and its dairy produce well beyond the three nearby borders.
Health and life sciences
Study protocols, informed consent forms, package leaflets, medical expert reports. A vague word costs more here than anywhere else.
Legal and insurance
Articles of association, shareholder agreements, general terms, submissions, loss adjustment reports and correspondence with foreign insurers.
Tourism, sport and events
Brochures, multilingual websites, press kits, partnership contracts, accreditations. Spa, the High Fens, the wool and fashion heritage centre and the Francorchamps circuit address an audience that reads in German, Dutch and English.
Research and teaching
Articles bound for publication, conference abstracts, funding applications, course notes and training material.
A part should not change name between two manuals
On a single isolated page, two competent translators deliver much the same thing. The gap shows up on the third document, when a component described in January acquires a different name in June.
From your very first job, therefore, we open a glossary and a translation memory in your name. A safety instruction written for a workshop in Dison, a data sheet reused six months later for a buyer in Maastricht: the terms stay identical, and segments already translated are not paid for twice at full rate.
That glossary belongs to you. The day you move to another provider, it goes with you.
- Glossary handed over to the client
- Translation memory per company
- Check by a second linguist
- File returned in its own format
Four principles that are not up for negotiation
They cost a little time at the outset and remove almost every reworking later on.
Always towards the mother tongue
Nobody ever writes as well as in their own language. That rule holds even when the deadline tightens.
A second linguist checks
The reviser moves segment by segment with the source in view. After three hours on the same text, a translator no longer spots their own slips.
Translation memory
Your earlier texts are reused. Terminology stops drifting and the invoice falls as the memory grows.
File ready to publish
Word, Excel, InDesign, XLIFF, WordPress, Shopify. You receive a usable document, not raw text still waiting to be laid out.
From the file received to the file you can publish
A single contact follows you, from the first message to the final revision.
- 01
File analysis
Actual volume, technical level, format, internal repetitions, segments already sitting in your memory. The price follows from that analysis, never from a rough guess.
- 02
Costed quote in 1 h
Price per source word, delivery date and a breakdown of the discounts applied to passages already translated for you.
- 03
Translation then check
A linguist from your sector writes, a second sets the text against the source and aligns it with your glossary.
- 04
Delivery and adjustments
The file comes back in its original format, and your comments are worked in at no extra charge.
Is there a contract or a manual on your desk?
Send the file over. Within the hour you will know the cost and the profile of the linguist taking it on.
What we guarantee
The right profile
A clinical protocol does not go to a brochure translator, and a distribution contract does not go to a translator of package leaflets.
Glossary handed over
Your lexicon builds up from the first job and is then passed to you. It is yours, with no strings attached.
Repetitions deducted
Segments already translated for you are identified and billed at the reduced rate. The quote sets that line out separately.
No public tools
A file pasted into a free online translator is a file made public. Yours never go there.
Deadline announced, deadline met
At the first sign of delay you are warned in advance, not on the day the work falls due.
Confidentiality agreement
Every person involved signs one. If you have your own, we sign it before the first file changes hands.
Frequently asked questions
How is the price calculated?
Per source word, with three variables: the language pair, the technical level and the deadline. Repetitions come off the total. No hourly billing and no file handling fee: quote and invoice show the same amount. Indicative ranges appear on the Rates page.
Can you edit the translations inside my site?
Yes, through the XLIFF exports of WordPress and Shopify: structure, links and formatting stay intact. Title tags, meta descriptions and alternative text are translated as well, since they are what carries your visibility in German or Dutch.
What if a chosen term does not suit me?
Say so within fifteen days and the correction is free. Even where it is a house preference rather than an error, the term joins your glossary and is respected from then on.
What turnaround for a large volume?
Reckon 2 000 words per working day per translator, checking included. Beyond that, several linguists share the text around a common glossary, and a final harmonising revision wipes out the differences in style.
Do you use machine translation?
Never without your written agreement. On a large volume with low stakes, post-editing can be a sensible call: we say so openly and you decide.
