Remote interpreter
by video call or by telephone
A weekly catch-up with a Romanian supplier, a consultation, a one-hour job interview: bringing someone in does not always make sense. The interpreter joins your Teams, Zoom or Meet meeting, or puts you in touch by telephone.

What we take on without travelling
The interpreter walks into your meeting like any other guest, or links you up with a plain telephone call.
Video conferencing
Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex: the interpreter clicks the link you send, in liaison or simultaneous mode depending on what the platform allows.
Telephone link-up
A three-way call, for those moments when you have to understand each other on the spot and nothing could be arranged.
One-to-one interviews
Recruitment, annual appraisal, social or medical consultation: short formats where the journey would cost more than the service itself.
Recurring meetings
Progress calls with a foreign supplier, steering committees, production meetings with crews that have already gone home.
Rare pairs
Since the interpreter does not have to travel, the pool stretches across the whole of Belgium and often beyond.
Unforeseen situations
A non-French-speaking patient arriving alone, an urgent administrative step: we look for an immediate link-up.
Everything hinges on the sound
A built-in laptop microphone, a room that echoes, three people talking at once: in those conditions even an excellent interpreter will not render accurately.
So we offer ten minutes of free technical testing before the session. And at the opening, the interpreter repeats the two rules that change everything: speak one at a time, pause after each idea.
Once that framework is in place, remote work matches attendance in person for an interview or a working meeting, with no journey and no half-day tied up.
- Free technical test
- Teams, Zoom, Meet, Webex
- Booking from one hour upwards
- No travel charges
When remote work fits, and when it falls short
Plainly put: this format is not right for everything.
Short formats
One hour remotely costs a fraction of what half a day on site costs, journey included.
Easier to slot in
With no journey to plan, an hour-long slot is found far sooner than a whole half-day.
Difficult languages
On a rare pair, remote work often remains the only realistic route in the short term.
Less suited when everything is at stake
Hearing, signature at the notary's, tense negotiation: choose attendance in the room, because bearing and gaze form part of the message.
Everything hinges on the sound. A built-in microphone in an echoing room, with participants cutting across each other, will yield an approximate rendering however gifted the interpreter. Ten minutes of technical testing settle the essentials, and they cost nothing.
Four steps, two days' notice
A remote session comes together far faster than an assignment on site.
- 01
You book the slot
Date, time, duration, languages, platform. One hour minimum, then in thirty-minute blocks.
- 02
Technical test
On request, link, sound and screen sharing are checked in advance. Ten minutes that rescue a whole session.
- 03
The interpreter joins
He enters the meeting five minutes before the hour, introduces himself and sets out the rules for taking the floor.
- 04
Billing on actual time
Session cut short: the minimum booked duration remains payable. Session overrunning: the agreed pro rata takes effect.
An online meeting to interpret this week?
Give us the slot and the language. For most pairs, two days' notice is enough.
Our guarantees
From one hour upwards
No half-day minimum: you settle only the time actually used.
Every platform
Teams, Zoom, Meet, Webex. Wherever a platform provides interpreting channels, our interpreters get everything out of them.
Free technical test
Link, sound quality, speaking rights: everything is checked beforehand instead of being discovered live in front of your counterparts.
Wider pool
The interpreter can sit anywhere in Belgium, which brings rare pairs within reach in a matter of days.
Same confidentiality
The agreement is the same as on site. The interpreter works alone, door closed, headset on, and no session is ever recorded.
No extra charges
No journey, no equipment hire, no mileage allowance. The hourly rate covers the lot.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book half an hour?
Billing starts at one hour: the interpreter blocks a slot, prepares the subject and connects in advance. Past that first hour, time is counted in thirty-minute blocks, so a meeting lasting an hour and forty minutes is not billed as two full hours.
What if the connection drops?
The interpreter reconnects at once and alerts you through the agreed channel. Where the incident comes from our side and prevents the session continuing, it is not billed. That is another reason we offer the technical test beforehand.
Does simultaneous work in a video call?
Yes on Teams and on Zoom: their interpreting channels let each person choose the language they listen to. On other tools we switch to liaison, each speaking in turn while the interpreter renders between contributions.
Do you work with participants based abroad?
Constantly. Plenty of meetings bring together a production site from here, a Romanian or Polish supplier and a German client. French, German and a third language then circulate in the same session: we set the number of interpreters by the pairs genuinely in use, not by the list of nationalities logged in.
Does this suit a medical consultation?
For follow-up, an exchange of information or explaining a treatment, yes, and care services turn to it more and more. For delivering a diagnosis or obtaining consent, we advise attendance in person: at such moments silence and gaze weigh as much as words.
